Having a snack ("snacking" is a regular verb in Dutch) is an integral part of the Dutch culinary culture, and pulling one out of a wall (yes) is one of the ultimate snack experiences. If you can combine that with enjoying one of the Dutch culinary icons, the "kroket", you're using your time truly efficient. And even though it is not said that the Febo sells the best kroketten in the world, the experience is at least almost essential if you want to taste Dutch food culture. While you're at it, you may have a "frietje met" (fries with mayonaise") as well, another Dutch culinary icon.
There are more Febo's in Amsterdam and other Dutch cities, yet they originated at the Ferdinand Bolstraat (hence Fe-Bo), at first a bakery and patisserie, with a growing focus on snacks.Marijke Blazer - 20-06-2011 »report this story
