The patisserie is now run by Claudia Dunselman, the fourth consequtive gerenation of Dunselman patissiers. In 2008 the Dunselman familycelebrated their hunderdth year anniversary as patissiers family. This was celebrated elaborately, with glitter, glamour, red carpets and even the presence of the -then- mayor of Amsterdam Job Cohen.

Lanskroon is one of the favourite addresses of Amsterdam's most critical food critic Johannes van Dam. In addition to their stroopwafel icecream, they have a large collection of additional taste-worthy pattisserie product; year after year their appeltaart gets number 1 or 2 rankings in different appeltaart competitions. This is also the place to taste almost forgotten traditional Dutch cookies, like weespermoppen, koggetjes and bitterkoekjes.

Hot or cold; you can have your stroopwafels both ways, fresh as an cookie-like variety of the traditional waffle-like chequered stroopwafels from the street stalls or as the popular ice cream flavour, check the movie as an appetizer.http://www.lanskroon.nl/ijsfilm.html. The stroopwafels are freshly made in batches of 20 pieces, and are immensly popular, so you may have to wait a little (and if you want more than five, you are asked to order in advance!).
